 If you are looking for a truck that can tow a house like a very large 5^th wheel trailer then you have to check out the 2020 redesigned GMC Sierra 2500HD pickup. 

GMC has a unique and proven approach when it comes to building heavy-duty trucks as they know that buyers want them big, bold and very capable.  You will nod your head in agreement, when you investigate the new GMC 2500HD with the friendly folks at Hometown Chevrolet Buick GMC located at 2009 Barnes Street in Reidsville, North Carolina or by calling the dealership at 336.634.0050 and take your expectations for a drive. 

You will discover that the newly redesigned 2500HD is bigger, features a lower bed lift-in height, and has a roomy upscale interior, a new big V8, an optional six-function tailgate and other helpful items.  Yes indeed, GMC wants to also take the hassle out of towing using high tech and clever use of cameras. 

For 2020 the GMC Sierra 2500HD pickup covers all the bases in making your life easier in hauling and towing.  Under its very aggressive looking hood you have the choice of two powerful engines.  The base models come from an all-new 6.6-liter V8 gasoline engine that delivers over 400 ponies and 464 lb-ft of “get-up and go” torque.  For those who desire more horses and grunt to pull really big stuff, an available 6.6-liter V8 turbodiesel punches out 445 horses and a monstrous 910 lb-ft of asphalt/dirt grabbing torque to rival the competition.  It is a high probability that most owners of the new 2500HD will lean toward the all-conquering turbodiesel that is paired with a new ten-speed automatic. 

This combo will make light work out of the heaviest loads ranging from 14,500 lbs to 18,500 for Crew Cabs with the diesel.  A big truck needs big power and the SierraHD doesn't disappoint. The other exciting news and welcome addition is the first AT4 off-road 4-wheel drive focused model and yes all models can be had with the 4-wheel setup. Other good news is the new enhanced ProGrade Trailering system that lessens your concerns about what is happening behind you. 

On the outside the new 2500HD has a more confident/aggressive looking exterior that is both taller and longer than before and brings out that “beast look” in spades. Its grille is bigger than ever and the distinctive daytime running lights look tough. That extra length means more room for its passengers and their gear.  Length varies between 235.5 inches to 266 for the Crew Cab and cargo box sizes range from 82 inches to 98 for the long box.  GMC is the segment's only HD truck maker using an independent front suspension and it really shows in the ride. 

You will also find that the SierraHD truck is responsive and easy to maneuver, relative to its large size and heft.  GMC did an excellent job at keeping what can be a brute of a truck really civilized when it needs to be.  No better time than now to check out the redesigned GMC Sierra 2500HD pickup truck and discover how smart and tough it really is.
